The Atomic Backland 85 is a great touring ski for the advanced intermediate to expert skier. It comes with a cap sidewall construction which is a full sidewall under the binding, from the base to the top sheet, for controlled power transmission and a strong grip on the edges. With an Ultra-Light Woodcore made of Poplar and Caruba wood, it allows the weight of the ski to lower, without compromising the performance of it. The Carbon Backbone is a Carbon insert that runs the length of the ski for increased agility and additional edge hold without having to include extra weight. An HRZN Tech Tip adds 10% more surface area at the tips of the ski, which makes it floaty in the powder and decreases tip deflection, while adding better tracking through the chopped up snow. This model also comes with pre-fit skins as well.
