Finally, a hard-charging touring boot that sacrifices nothing on the ascent. The Maestrale RS boasts an impressive 130 flex with a weight of 1410g and 60 degree range of motion. Scarpa's Carbon Grilamid Web, noticeable near the heel of the shell, uses long fibers of carbon infused into the plastic to increase strength and stiffness while keeping weight to a minimum. For the 17-18 season, scarpa went to a 3 buckle design. The new design saves time and self equalizes the entire lower portion of the boot when making adjustments. Scarpa outfitted the Maestrale RS with the Speedlock Plus ski/walk mode. The simple lever on the back of the boot gets completely out of the way for friction free touring but securely locks the boot in place in ski mode. Completely heat moldable and exceptionally warm Intuition Cross Fit Pro Flex G liners come standard in the Maestrale RS. Light but stiff with a huge range of motion, the Maestrale is ready for your biggest mission and most demanding descent.
